Now, I know it can be long time to repair cars and sometimes things are on back order, and I even know 3-4 days total may not even happen, but I liked the fact that it was easier. You know what, I went back to my original service dealer and explained what was going on and they said sure here's a loaner and it'll be probably 3-4 days total. The conversation went on in a similar manner for a few more minutes until I left. It's 5 days to diagnose - I get it things get backed up, cars are far more complicated, procedures should be followed, but I asked 'when you have it hooked up to your computer, how long until you can give me a good estimate? 3-4 hours?' and she just gave me the same blank stare 5 days to diagnose. I was thinking well, here I am in your garage (the actual repair area in fact) and there are no cars being serviced at all. So I went into a closer dealership and I was explaining to the service person what I had going on and they told me 5 days to diagnose and they didn't give/have loaners. Well I had the "service park assist" come on and the "shift to park" while in park as well. Anyway, now that I moved to another city down the road, it is more advantageous for me to go to another dealer. It wasn't enough for me to hate the people or anything. I felt this dealer was rather meh as there were several hiccups over the corse and as well as several other times I brought that car in for warranty service and when I ordered some dealer only parts for another GM car of mine.
#2016 EQUINOX OIL CAPACITY FULL#
As I've gone around into other endeavors, I've noticed this to be fundamentally true.īringing my story full circle: I had originally taken my wife's car (this 2016 premier) to a dealer for service under the Chevrolet warranty. I remember talking to my boss at the time and he said something to the effect that it's not hard to shine when all you do is your job correctly whereas everyone else really doesn't even put in the time of day. It's a shame that this is the perception everyone has and this industry isn't alone in this back in the day when I worked for an eye doc during college, we would get so many people who would tell us our work was so exceptional - I even got letters written to the corporate office and survey cards indicating such. Recommended for vehicles built before MY2011.Click to expand. This is very true! My next place I buy, I'm looking to build a tall garage and with a lift. Drain interval can be as long as 50 000 kms. Special GM approval for long-life engine oil for diesel engines. Recommended for vehicles built before MY2011. Drain interval can be as long as 30 000 kms.

Special GM approval for long-life engine oil for gasoline engines. This specification is built on the ACEA C3 standard but also contains elements from the ILSAC GF-4 deposit formation test and low-temperature sludge build-up test. Oils meeting GM Dexos 2 are required for vehicles manufactured from MY2011 onward but they are also backward compatible with older models. The GM Dexos 2 specification is meant to be the replacement for both GM-LL-A-025 (gasoline) and GM-LL-B-025 (diesel) specifications for the European market. Compared to ILSAC GF-5 it has stricter requirements regarding piston deposit formation, aeration, oxidation stability, wear, low-temperature pumpability and volatility. This specification is usually recommended for GM vehicles built for the North American and Asian markets.

Designed with gasoline engines in mind GM Dexos 1 replaces the GM-LL-A-025, GM6094M and GM4718M specifications.
